Encore's C2C™ Routers Approved for Use Over the ASAI In-House Processing Platform Specializing in Wireless Communications for the Gaming Industry
Chantilly, VA, October 01, 2012 - Encore Networks today announced that Automated Systems America Inc. (ASAI) has certified Encore's C2C™ M2M wireless routers to provide legacy Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) with both Ethernet connectivity functions and the ability to migrate from Plain Old Telephone Service (POTs) dial-up lines to more secure, reliable, and less expensive cellular IP services.
Headquartered in Glendale, California, ASAI is one of the top providers of financial transaction products to the gaming industry specializing in the unique and demanding needs of casino environments. Owning and operating their own full-function transaction processing center allows ASAI to provide casino clients the ability to access custom processing solutions, while at the same time eliminating middleman transaction pricing structures.
"ASAI's innovative approach to incorporating all aspects of financial transaction processing under one roof has branded them as an industry leader in the retail ATM gaming markets," said Scott Harper, Vice President of Product Management for Encore Networks. "Their certification of the C2C places Encore with top equipment brands like Diebold, NRT, Western Money and Hyosung, all ensuring ASAI's ability to guarantee casino guests are always in touch with their cash resources."
The C2C™ is a high-availability, full featured, broadband wireless router designed to support demanding ATM M2M applications. Hundreds of thousands of installed ATMs, operating with legacy protocols, have dial-up modem interfaces which are designed to run over voice telephone lines. The C2C™ enables these ATMs to work in an IP environment by moving data to a public or private IP cellular infrastructure providing IPsec VPN technology or SSL encryption.
"This year, ASAI will dispense over a billion dollars, paying clients in excess of 60 million dollars in surcharge revenues for over 24 million transactions," stated Kent Cain, Senior Vice President and COO, "Our innovative methods combine top equipment vendors like Encore Networks and powerhouse financial partners to achieve our goal of providing high quality products and services an ATM owner needs to succeed."
