Ruggedized Ultra-Mobile Computer
Introducing the Toughbook U1
Field workers are migrating to knowledge workers—so it is time to put the power of a
PC into the palm of their hand. Introducing the Panasonic Toughbook U1, Panasonic’s new
entry into the UMPC field which sets the bar for ruggedized and industrialized ultra-mobile
computers. Highlights of the Toughbook U1 will include a MIL Spec 810E rating, and an IP54
classification for durability; 2 batteries on-board making the run time 9 + hours, a full-blown
operating system (at this time Windows XP) so this palm-top can run regular windows applications;
and the option to have integrated internally features like barcode scanners, GPS, WWAN modems,
and RFID. This unit is currently in production. USAT is authorized to sell the Toughbook U1. Please

Introducing the Toughbook C1
World’s Lightest 12.1” Convertible Tablet PC
The 3.2 lb Panasonic Toughbook C1. It features an array of industry leading
advancements, such as being rugged convertible to offer hot-swappable twin batteries
for continuous use. The C1 comes with the Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ Processor. The C1 is
available with a multi–touch + digitizer screen for finger and gesture computing and
an electronic stylus. The ergonomic strap and dome cradle the hand for comfortable
long term use. The Toughbook C1 features a unique, durable triple hinge design — two
hinges for opening and closing the screen, and another hinge for rotating the screen
