Encore Networks launches a new, low-cost wireless VPN router, the EN-2000
Encore Networks, a leading provider of M2M solutions, has just announced the launch of a low-cost wireless VPN router, the EN-2000. This newest addition to the EN 4G LTE family of routers is designed for high-availability M2M applications in fixed or portable locations. The EN-2000 supports applications related to business continuity, video surveillance, digital signage, and much more. The device provides remote access on either the public or private Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.
Peter Madsen, the President of Encore Networks, states that the company is striving to stay competitive within this growing M2M market. “The global M2M market is expanding at a rapid pace with no end in sight. As the rate of adoption for M2M technologies grow exponentially, I anticipate Encore will keep pace as a majority of these connections will require low cost, low power, high-performance routers,” explained Madsen.
The EN-2000 wireless router comes with impressive cloud-ready capabilities. The device uses the Quanta LTE only module to leverage the advantages of Verizon’s high-speed 4G LTE network, in order to run applications more cost-effectively. The EN-2000 can be used as both a primary or backup connection, which allows enterprise customers to eliminate the high costs of conventional wired networks and avoid the hassle of installation times or power outages. The LTE only embedded module consumes less power than the traditional dual-radio 4G/3G modules.
All Encore wireless routers move data through a public or private IP cellular infrastructure, which removes the dependence on copper lines while providing VPN technology. The Encore equipment provides license-free Enterprise Class IP, VPN, Firewall Routing, and IP interworking features. The EN-2000 also comes with a three-year warranty.
